Tonya Chancy Photography

A few weeks ago I was asked to do a Maternity photo shoot.  I met the clients and we trekked off down into Big Cypress Preserve.  I wasn't sure what images I was going to come back with.  Once the day was over and we were all wrapped up and on our way back I was pleased with what I had captured.  I love them.  I have some beautiful images that I hope last a lifetime for this new mother and her sweet little baby.  Since the photo shoot she was born and I will have the honor of doing her pictures as well.  Please enjoy some from the maternity shoot.  As always it was a pleasure working with the mom to be and I will always look forward to having them again.  You can go to my website at Tonya Chancy to see more images from me. 

I apologize for not being a litle more diligent with my blogs.  I have been busy for the last few months with my family.  About two months ago I did a family photo shoot on the beach.  I sat down and started editing pictures and such and then i got a call from my family in Georgia telling me my dad had a stroke.  I am 400 miles away from him, so, I drop what I am doing and leave to go up.  I was on this emotional rollercoaster for about a month.  The doctors thought my dad had brain cancer and then a brain tumor and then they thought he was,in the last stages of cancer with only a couple months to live.  Finaly after a battery of tests and thousands of needle pricks later they have come to the conclusion that he had had a thing called a brain abscess.  I have never heard of such a thing.  He is in rehab still with high hopes he will be getting out and coming home soon,  He just wants to go home and I feel so bad for him because he is stu...

I tell you I had fun doing this photo shoot.  This little girl sure is cute in front of the camera.  Well let's face it she is cute all the time.  One of the girls I know had asked me if I could do the shoot with her brother's car in it.  I told her "yes"  I just needed to get the outfits together.  I made the outfits out of T-shirts and Tye dyed them.  That part was fun considering I had dye all over my kitchen.  I got the shirts bigger than the children.  I made the shirts look like little mini dresses for the girls and took one of the pieces and made it as a hair tie for their hair.  I got the "John Lennon" glasses as I like to call them and I got the car.  Everything was falling into place.  We took the car and parked it out by her barn under a tree on her property.  The kids we got sitting in the car and doing everything they possibly would be doing if they would have been hanging out in the 60's.  They had lots ...

 I am thinking of Pinterst right now.  I really like using it.  I started a page a couple months ago and to my surprise I am using it more than I thought I would and it is a great tool.  It helps me find and organize things and gives me ideas for my next photo shoot.  I am thinking of doing one with the 50's for the girls.  I am also thinking of doing the one I posted last year about the daughters and the moms wedding dresses.  I didnt get much feedback about that photo shoot WWW.tonyachancy.com . I did a picture of my daughter and it really turned out pretty.    I really had fun sharing this with my daughter.  I am almost tempted to get it printed in a canvas wrap.  If you see something on any of my pages that you would like to have photographed just let me know.  These are fun times with your children so lets be creative!
